We are excited to announce that we have a new head librarian, Nicole Schmiesing! Nicole is originally from Sauk Centre. She went to college at Minnesota State University Moorhead and received her library degree from University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where she also worked as a reference librarian. She recently completed a term of service with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC), where she performed service projects in Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas, and Missouri. She is really excited to be a part of the community, and welcomes anyone to stop by the library and introduce themselves!
Story hour will be held on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am.
Come and Join in on the fun!
Coloring helps us to de-stress because when we focus on a particular activity, we focus on it and not our stresses. Coloring generates wellness, quietness and also stimulates brain areas related to motor skills, the senses and creativity. Coloring sheets, crayons and pencils will be provided.
Local authors – indie, self-published, aspiring, and mainstream – can now create ebooks and share them with readers across the state and potentially across the country using free tools provided by Minnesota libraries.
